Oxidise rather than poison

Dr Paul Herzog and others before him were aware that nascent oxygen is nature’s best disinfectant. Unfortunately, it is a volatile substance, which does not remain stable in a cream or other similar substance. When Dr Herzog began studying the problem, doctors had been trying for more than half a century to ‘fix’ oxygen. The aim was to ‘oxidise’ bacteria rather than ‘poison’ them, in a process, which would have no harmful effects.

How was it possible to stabilise this providential oxygen?

For some time, Dr. Herzog had nurtured ideas on the subject, but had left them undeveloped in order to concentrate on his research into epidemiology. Towards the end of the 1970s, however, he had the chance to put his ideas to test.

His wife, Karin, helped him in his work and together they formulated the basis of today’s exceptional skincare line called, simply, ‘Karin Herzog’, a truly remarkable, highly effective, advanced product line that is often imitated but which remains the only product line to actually deliver valuable oxygen direct to the skin.

Why was Dr Herzog’s discovery so remarkable?

It works on 2 levels – it was in fact a double discovery. On the one hand, Paul Herzog had succeeded in stabilising oxygen in ‘fixing’ it in a cream. On the other hand, the oxygen contained in liquid form in the emulsion, was released in a gaseous form on contact with the skin, creating a pressure of up to ten atmospheres in a mechanical effect, which literally injected oxygen through the skin.

You can only put oxygen into the skin under the correct atmosphere conditions. These products have been clinically proven to stimulate a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

In what way is this injection of oxygen beneficial in terms of cosmetology? The released pressure has the effect of a massage on the outer layers of skin, unblocking the capillary blood vessels and allowing the blood to carry vital substances to the skin cells without hindrance; Literally spring cleaning the capillaries, essential for delivering nutrients to the cells.
